2.            Licences issued under Delegated Powers

There had been circulated copies of the Civic Government and Miscellaneous Licences issued under delegated powers between 11 October 2018 – 5 November 2018.

 

DECISION 

NOTED.

Items Likely to be Taken in Private

Before proceeding with the private business, the following motion should be approved:

 

“That under Section 50A(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 the public be exclude from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 14 of Part 1 of Schedule 7A to the aforementioned Act.”

               DECISION

AGREED under Section 50A(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 to exclude the public from the meeting during consideration of the business detailed in the Appendix to this Minute on the grounds that they involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 12  of part 1 of Schedule 7A to the Act.

4.            Licensing of Metal and Itinerant Metal Dealers

With reference to paragraph 4 of the Minute of 26 October 2018, there had been circulated copies of an application for the grant of an Itinerant Metal Dealers Licence, in respect of which Police objections had been received.  The applicant, although cited to attend, was not present and the Committee agreed to consider the application in his absence.

 

DECISION

AGREED that the application for an Itinerant Metal Dealer be refused on the grounds that the applicant was not considered to be a fit and proper person due to the nature of previous convictions and the timescales relating to them.

The Private section of the Minute of 26 October 2018 was approved.
