There had been circulated copies of an application for the grant of a premises license together with proposed Operating Plan, proposed layout plan and Disabled Access and Facilities Statement.  Mr Wynne explained that the premises was a large Garden Centre, Restaurant and Gift Shop and the application was to enable them to sell alcohol within the gift shop.  The application was until 10 p.m., however the premises closed much earlier.  The application was within policy and there had been no objections.  Police Scotland had no comment.

 

The Convener welcomed Leanne Charlton, Milestone Garden and Leisure via Microsoft Teams.  Ms Charlton explained that a Deli section had recently been added to the gift shop selling local produce and high end crafts and it was hoped to add wines and beers to the offer.  Ms Charlton also confirmed that it would be Off Sales only

 

 

DECISION

AGREED TO GRANT.

“That under Section 50A(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 the public be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 14 of Part 1 of Schedule 7A to the aforementioned Act”

            AGREED under Section 50A(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 to exclude the public from the meeting during consideration of the business detailed in the Appendix to this Minute on the grounds that it involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 14 of Part I of Schedule 7A to the Act.

            Section 36(4): Application for Review of Premises Licence

The Board further considered a request from Mr Wynne, Licensing Standards and Enforcement Officer to review a premises licences under Terms of Section 14 of the Licensing Scotland Act 2005.  After consideration the Committee agreed action to be taken.
