Minutes:

          URGENT BUSINESS

Under Section 50B(4)(b) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973, the Chairman was of the opinion that the item dealt with in the following paragraph should be considered at the meeting as a matter of urgency, in view of the need to make an early decision.

3.0        BELHAVEN PUB CHAIN

3.1       Members were asked to consider an e-mail from agents acting on behalf of the Belhaven pub chain requesting if the Board would consider granting additional hours outwith its normal policy core hours on Saturday, 19 May 2018, the day of the Royal Wedding.  It was noted that the majority of premises in the Board’s area already had on sale hours until 1.00 am on a Saturday and the wedding would take place during the day.

            DECISION

AGREED that normal core hours within the Board’s policy until 1.00 am were sufficient for the date in question and any applications for extended hours beyond that time would be considered on their individual merits.
