Joint Meeting of Pension Committee and Pension Board Consideration of any issues required to be raised. Minutes: The Chair invited members of the Board to raise any issues which had arisen from the Joint meeting of the Pension Fund and Board. In response to a question regarding Pension Board representation at the Pension Investment and Performance Sub-Committee it was clarified that Ms Kirsty Robb and Ms KayMarie Hughes both attended those meetings. It was hoped that once an independent advisor was appointed that the Members of the Pension Board could have more insight into the Sub-Committee. Attendees discussed the setting of the contribution rate, and it was clarified that the Pension Fund Committee, not the Pension Board, had the power to set the rate. It was stressed that any communications regarding the contribution rate needed to be carefully managed and that from the joint meeting of the Pension Fund Committee and Board that all decisions regarding the rate were being taken with long-term financial stability in mind.
