Joint Meeting of Pension Committee and Pension Board Consideration of any issues required to be raised. Minutes: The Board discussed each element tabled at the joint meeting of the Pension Fund Committee and Pension Board including the presentations by the Actuary on Asset Allocation and Environmental Social Governance by the Capital and Investment Manager, Kirsty Robb. The Board advised that the joint meeting had covered a great deal of information and there had been interesting debate which had been very informative. There were no actions arising from the meeting which they wished to discuss further.
The Board discussed the pre-meeting and stated that they found this useful in terms of preparation for the main meeting. It was agreed that the pre-meetings continue and that they be held prior to the joint meeting.
Mrs Robb then discussed the Pension Fund Investment and Performance Sub-Committee meeting. The two representatives from the Pension Board were Mr Campbell Hogarth and Mr Pete Smith. The Sub-Committee meeting was held in Edinburgh and was an opportunity for members to receive presentations from the Pension Fund’s Investment Advisors and ask questions of the Advisors. The meeting usually commenced at 10.00 am and concluded at approximately 5.30 pm, this meant that the Board representatives might not able to attend. It was agreed that future meetings dates be forwarded to Board Members for information. If either of the two Board representatives were unable to attend then the Board would appoint a substitute member(s).
DECISION AGREED to forward the meeting dates for the Pension Fund Investment Performance Sub-Committee to Pension Board members.
